There's a super easy self check-in tool which goes along with the 6 Pillars of holistic Wellness that helps us evaluate where we are in the moment in a very judgment-free, innovative way.
Information is knowledge... Knowledge is power. Now we have a tool that will help us Retain Our Power to encourage rapid development towards our true purpose.
Do this Self Check-in as often as you wish, even several times a day if needed. The more you check-in with yourself, the better.
YOU CAN ALSO DO A 6 PILLARS OF WELLNESS SELF-CHECK-IN WITH A FRIEND, PARTNER, OR FAMILY MEMBER! It's a great way to holistically catch up with each other!
The most important thing to remember when doing this self check-in is that its based on YOUR current wellness targets. Holistic Wellness self check-ins are NOT based on anyone else's standards but your own.
Also remember that this self check-in is based on your targets at the CURRENT moment. We have no obligation to our former selves, so we are free and allowed to change our mind about our targets anytime we like.
The Universe has designed us to be reflection of Mother Earth. The reason we experience a variety of weather patterns on our planet is because Earth is always shifting to moisture and winds in an attempt to become one consistent ambient temperature everywhere.
As such, we too are on a constant internal struggle to find balance within our 6 Pillars of Holistic Wellness. In order to achieve Holistic Wellness, it's not feasible to try and score "3's" across the board on every single Wellness Pillar.
Our goal is to embrace our "2's" and pay attention to our critical "1's", and as they occur in each wellness Pillar, which represents the balance, harmony and flow within us. Looking at all of our self check-in scores combined gives a holistic sense as to the present condition of our Holistic Wellness.
In the 1960's, famed psychologist Fritz Perls used to say, "Lose your mind and come to your senses." This advice has been fortified by the latest scientific evidence showing that the pit in your stomach is actually your "second brain"
When doing a 6 Pillars of Holistic Wellness Self Check-in, it's Crucial that our answers come from our "second brain" gut feelings, and NOT from our "trickster minds (we can justify anything).
While there are spaces on the downloadable handouts for your answers in each of the 6 Pillars of Holistic Wellness, you can just refer to the handout as a template and record your answers on a separate piece of paper, or in your own personal journal.
Here's How to Grade Your 6 Pillars of Holistic Wellness:
Assign a Whole Number To Each Holistic Wellness Pillar:
*Note: Whole number are important (a "1.5" doesn't work) AND using creative Adjectives with your scores are HIGHLY Encouraged (For example, you can say that you're feeling like your physical wellness is a "Weak 2", or your "Spiritual wellness is a "Just-over-the-line 1", or your Physical wellness is at a "Resounding 3".
Looking at all of these scored combined gives a holistic view at our present Internal wellness from a judgment-free innovative perspective.
Scoring for each pillar works as follows:
"If we don't put ourselves first, no one else will"
Making self care your top priority may seem unrealistic from your current life perspective (especially for parents), until you realize that neglecting yourself has negative impact on EVERYONE around you. As such, YOUR happiness HAS to come first before Everything.
Any Wellness Pillars that you graded a “1 - BELOW my target” can now receive priority focus. So, it’s most important to raise these pillars from a “1 - BELOW my target” to at least a “2 - AT my target”.
For any Wellness Pillar that you graded at a “2 - AT my target”, you are currently in balance and alignment within that pillar.
Any Wellness Pillar that you graded a “3 - EXCEEDING my target” is currently in a state of abundance. Recognize that you can pull back your efforts from Wellness Pillars with “3’s” to make space for improvement on any Pillars that you graded a “1 - BELOW my target”.
Having this framework helps us to easily regulate and find our balance at any point in any time of the day, as often as we want.
This is what leads us to be happy FIRST and THEN successful.
