The most important thing to remember when doing this self check-in is that its based on YOUR current wellness targets. Holistic Wellness self check-ins are NOT based on anyone else's standards but your own.
Also remember that this self check-in is based on your targets at the CURRENT moment. We have no obligation to our former selves, so we are free and allowed to change our mind about our targets anytime we like.
Holistic Self Check-ins requires us to put ourselves first at several points in our day. Doing so allows us to identify and address our own dynamic unmet needs.
Doing 6 pillar Holistic Self Check-ins are fantastic during times when your mind and body are processing high amounts of energy.
Holistic Self Check-ins introduce positive transformation when you're under emotional distress, and amplify gratitude when you just wanted to celebrate your own personal awesomeness.

Goal setting has gone out of style along with authoritarian hierarchical leadership, which is defining immediate Intentions towards our Holistic Wellness targets flows perfectly with 6 Pillars Holistic Self Check-In process.
Setting intentions act as a powerful reminder of our bigger perspectives. When we replace goals with intentions, we trigger a sacred sequence of introspection inside us that inspires personal acceptance, development and growth.
Realistic and flexible bite-sized Intentions place our focus on our “in-the-moment” needs, instead of difficulties of achieving static goals. Intentions bring a special quality of focus and support our goals from the inside.
Establishing Intentions is simply making a statement of what we intend to do to improve a specific Pillar of Wellness. It’s an “In-the-moment” assessment of what we need to help us navigate to our highest selves.
Setting Intentions supports our immediate needs from the inside, which allows us to Retain Our Power to evolve within ourselves, independent of external forces. So instead of saying “My goal is to lose 20 pounds by the summer”, you can set attainable intentions to “reconnect with my body” and “sweat 3 times a week”, and “get out in nature.
When doing a 6 Pillars of Holistic Wellness Self Check-in, it's Crucial that our answers come from our "second brain" gut feelings, and NOT from our "trickster minds, where we can justify anything we do.
Before you answer, take the time to feel into the pit of your stomach to find your truth in the moment. Allow yourself to think freely past the "story" of who you currently think you are, or what situations are happening "to" you..
To have the most effective self check-ins, I work past my minds chatter and allow my senses guide me.
In the 1960's, famed psychologist Fritz Perls used to say, "Lose your mind and come to your senses." This advice has been fortified by the latest scientific evidence showing that the pit in your stomach is actually your "second brain"

Pick a Wellness Pillar to start with, like Physical Wellness.
OUT LOUD TO YOUR CELLS (Self), say:
"Where is my physical wellness at today?
Am I a 1 - Below my physical wellness intentions right now?
Am I a 2 - AT my physical wellness intentions right now?
Or Am I a 3 - Exceeding my physical wellness intentions aright now?
Assign a Whole Number To Each Holistic Wellness Pillar:
*Note: Whole number are important (a "1.5" doesn't work) HOWEVER.... using creative Adjectives with your scores are HIGHLY Encouraged (For example, you can say that you're feeling like your physical wellness is a "Weak 2", or your "Spiritual wellness is a "Just-over-the-line 1", or your Physical wellness is at a "Resounding 3".
While there are spaces on the downloadable handouts for your answers in each of the 6 Pillars of Holistic Wellness, you can just refer to the handout as a template and record your answers on a separate piece of paper, or in your own personal journal.
Trying to achieve Holistic Wellness is not about giving yourself "3's" across the board on every single Wellness Pillar. We are in a constant internal struggle to find balance within our 6 Pillars of Holistic Wellness, and this struggle effects all of us.
What our 3's represent is thrival and happiness within that pillar. Our 3's not only show us where we are kicking ass on our holistic wellness scale, 3's also show us where we can extract some of our energies from to redirect energies to meet the unmet needs of our 1's.
I try to Embrace and maintain my "2's" as they occur in each wellness Pillar, which represents the balance, harmony and flow within me.
and set at least 1 immediate and feasible intention to meet the critical current needs of our "1's", and Looking at all of our self check-in scores combined gives a holistic sense as to the present condition of our Holistic Wellness.
There's a super easy self check-in tool which goes along with the 6 Pillars of holistic Wellness that helps us evaluate where we are in the moment in a very judgment-free, innovative way.
Looking at all of these scored combined gives a holistic view at our present Internal wellness from a judgment-free innovative perspective.
Scoring for each pillar works as follows:
"If we don't put ourselves first, no one else will"
Making self care your top priority may seem unrealistic from your current life perspective (especially for parents), until you realize that neglecting yourself has negative impact on EVERYONE around you. As such, YOUR happiness HAS to come first before Everything.
Any Wellness Pillars that you graded a “1 - BELOW my target” can now receive priority focus. So, it’s most important to raise these pillars from a “1 - BELOW my target” to at least a “2 - AT my target”.
For any Wellness Pillar that you graded at a “2 - AT my target”, you are currently in balance and alignment within that pillar.
Any Wellness Pillar that you graded a “3 - EXCEEDING my target” is currently in a state of abundance. Recognize that you can pull back your efforts from Wellness Pillars with “3’s” to make space for improvement on any Pillars that you graded a “1 - BELOW my target”.
Having this framework helps us to easily regulate and find our balance at any point in any time of the day, as often as we want.
This is what leads us to be happy FIRST and THEN successful.
